My name is Kirsten and I am the artist behind Acorn Alley Designs. I take pride in my work and offer you pieces that are well constructed. They may look delicate but they are designed to hold up to years of normal wear and tear.
I believe that the jewelry you choose to wear is a reflection of what is in your soul. My pieces are inspired by the natural and cultural beauty of the places I have lived and visited.
A few of my inspirations (obsessions?): sparkly rocks with mysterious things inside them; steel mills; interestingly faceted briolettes; old doll parts; photographs of decaying industry; Charley Kinney’s “hanted” houses; the smell of violets and fallen leaves; bathing in hot springs; shiny things I find on the ground.
Why “Acorn Alley”? We used to live on an oak-lined street in Arkansas where squirrels and acorns abounded, and that is where the name took hold.
