This past week, I noticed the following blooming in the area:
-
Tulip and star magnolias
-
Quince
-
Forsythia
-
Camellia
-
Some white shrubby thing that I don’t recognize
In my own yard, the carolina jessamine is getting ready to bloom, and new daffodils keep coming up. I put in two types of allium in the fall, and one has foliage up. I hate plant markers in the yard, but sometimes later I wish I had used them – like when I cut that dahlia tuber in half last year digging. Oh where or where did I put those alliums (and which variety is it that is coming up). I suppose I shall have to wait until they bloom.
